Home Sweet Home

We get to move into our house today! We are so ready to get out of this hotel and get our puppies out of the kennel! Poor little guys have been through so much with this move, I am sure they will be happy to be in their new home and play in their big back yard!

(I will be posting more pictures once we actually get inside!)

We are so fortunate to get housing so soon as well as a single family house (as opposed to a multiplex or duplex).

We bought a car yesterday. Cars here are quite different. It is unusual to see brand new cars, they are all quite a bit older and much less expensive. John and I did not see much of a point in buying a newer car to only have it for 3 years. So we went down to one of the military friendly dealerships and bouth a 1994 Surf (It looks just like a Toyota 4-Runner), perfect for toting around the two dogs!

Car dealerships here are quite different than in the US. The car lot was like nothing I have ever seen before. This lot had rows and rows of cars bumper to bumper. You can't test drive them because there is no possible way to get them out. All of the keys are inside the vehicles, you can open the doors, look inside, try out the AC, but you can't drive it until you buy it. They have 2 year warranties for everything, so if there is something wrong with the car you bought, it will be covered, so you dont have to worry about not test driving it.
After a few minutes of looking around, we decided on one we liked, a guy came outside and talked to us about it, and before we knew it, we bought a car. The funny thing is that depending on how difficult your car is to get out of the lot, depends on how quickly you get to take it home! So try to find a car that is on the outside of the lot. There were only 3 cars in front of ours, so we get it the next day! Haha! Hopefully you can see the insanity of this lot by these pictures!

What a wonderful looking house! We are happy for you. It looks very "military". How come you didn't buy the Nissan "toaster" that was in the last photo? Anyway! It looks like things are "moving" right along for you. Love Dad & Linda
